The Zoo

The kids LOVE learning about animals. We LOVE being outside. We LOVE museums, gardens, farms, etc., so, of course, we would all LOVE the zoo. When the kids had their birthday party this year, I suggested that family members just donate money to my kids to go to the zoo, rather than give them even more toys. I don't mind toys, but sometimes it just seems like too much. A few people took us up on that suggestion and so at the end of July we decided to head to the zoo. We had such a great time and can't wait to go again. I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking. :)

The kids always love sitting on this elephant.

Micah was trying to help shade them so they could actually look at me for the picture. :)

Love this little one!

Love this one, too!

I love taking pictures of Micah with the kids... especially from behind.

At the end, we took the train around the Savanna area. It was a fun little ride.

What a fantastic day we had. :)

July 24th

This year, for Pioneer Day, I attended a concert at the Tabernacle with some members of my family. It was a WONDERFUL concert and we had a great time!

Then, Lila, Brighton, and I went to participate in the Temple to Temple 5k. As always, we had a blast. It's always fun to hang out with my family and to start and end at temple grounds. Both temples are so beautiful!

Getting warmed up! :)

Lila was such a great helper with Brighton.

We made it!

Sarah met us at the end and shared some delicious donuts. The kids loved that. :) I love that this is something that we can do and look forward to every year. I hope the tradition continues for a long time.

It's been a fun way for us to celebrate the pioneers and all that they did for us. Can't wait for next year!
