Australia Day Celebration 2015

The 26th of January is Australia Day, but my family decided to celebrate it on the weekend. We had a great party at my mum's house. I don't think there's too much that I need to say… the pics seem to explain it all. :)

What a great picture to end on. :)

My Silly, Cute, Crazy, Weird Kids

This is a post entirely dedicated to random moments with my kids. Oh how I love these two!

Brighton really enjoyed our chicken salad.

Lila loves to be silly and dress up.

Brighton is taking after his sister by dressing up in her underwear! :)

The kids pulled the tree over.

Lila really loves her little brother… By the way, look how nice the tree looked after they pulled it down.

Sometimes Brighton puts himself into timeout, even if he doesn't need to.

Lila loves to work on her puzzles. She's getting very good at them.

Brighton is so affectionate.

Spinning makes me dizzy, but not Lila.

Lila is in Primary!

My beautiful little Lila bean is in primary. Boy does time fly! I can't believe I have one old enough.

All ready for her first Sunday in primary:

She was so excited she could hardly stand it. :)

My ward had a cute activity where the primary kids got to meet with their teachers and eat pizza the Friday before the first Sunday of the year. They talked with their new teacher and classmates then they went into the primary room to learn about the new theme. It was really fun to see Lila in that kind of environment.

They also had the kids (parents) fill out this spotlight. I loved Lila's answers.

I love my little girl!

New Year's Eve Day … does that make sense?

Since we have two little kids we're actually not that big into New Year's Eve, but this year we did spend the day together as a family at the Living Planet Aquarium. It was a lot of fun and we all had a great time.

We hadn't been there since it moved, but we really loved it. Lila really loves learning about animals and looking at pictures of them so she was so excited to look at every little animal that we could.

Brighton was really interested, too. The only problem was that since he loves water so much he would get angry when he couldn't climb into the water to be with the animals, so we would have to stand quite a ways away to discourage him. He didn't really like that.

I loved seeing the sea otters and penguins. They're just so much fun. The birds out in the open were really cool, too.

Due to what day it was they had a plan to drop balloons at noon. We stayed until then and then left. It was crazy because of this, but still so much fun.

The craziness made it so that I didn't even remember that they have a new shark tunnel thingy, so we missed out on it, which made me sad when I talked to my sister about it. I guess we'll just have to get some more tickets and return, oh darn! ;)

I love doing these type of things with my kiddos. Their excitement is so fun to watch. It was a great way to end a great year.
