Strawberry Freezer Jam

Another year with a great sale on strawberries. A great batch from a long night. Strawberry freezer jam is the best! :)

Citizenship… it's finally happening.

Last Saturday I finally did all of the paperwork and got all of my stuff together and submitted it to become a citizen of the United States of America. It felt good to get it out of the way and have one less step to think about. Hopefully it gets accepted and I can then set a date for my interview, and then if I pass that, a date for me to officially become a citizen. I hope it doesn't take too long! It will feel good when it's all done. Yay!

Here's my passport photo that I had to submit.
(No I don't have dandruff, the white stuff is from my scanner)

Right before the lady took it she said, "They don't like toothy smiles." Well, as you all well know, I have a very toothy smile, so I felt very awkward trying to not smile with too much teeth. I think it turned out okay though. I think I look awkward, but not as bad as I imagined.  I hope I don't get denied over my smile… we'll see I guess.

Wedding Bells

Last Saturday my sister Jessica got married in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple.

To prepare for the wedding we gave Bright another haircut and his first ever bald patch! :( This little boy just wouldn't sit still. He's a squirmy little feller.

Anyway, the important parts of the day were great! The temple was absolutely beautiful inside and out. We haven't been there since the open house so it was fun to return. After the wedding we headed to the reception at a nearby chapel.

At the reception they had a Photo Booth. It was a lot of fun. Kids and adults alike had a great time taking pictures. Something I loved that they did was they gave the people in the picture a copy, but then had one more copy to put in a scrapbook for the couple. Isn't that such a great idea?

Here are the ones that I was in.

I especially love this one with my dad… can you see him in the iPad?
It was fun squeezing so much family into one photo.
(Jared, me, dad, Tracee, Darwin, Sarah, Kiara, Laura, Eliza, Jess, mum, Emma, and Angelica)

Micah wants this one blown up for our family picture in our front room. We'll have to see if Jess has a digital copy that we can get. I don't think this scanned copy will work. :)

We also have a regular picture of our family.

Anyway, it was a beautiful day and I'm so happy for Jess and Will (his name is really Jared, but it's hard to not confuse him with my brother).  Congratulations!
