Random February Photos

A photo from another FHE. Brighton really picked up on the word "obey" from this lesson. He won't really listen when we say, "I need you to listen", but if we say, "I need you to obey", he is much more likely to follow directions. It's funny what sticks with them.

A few of Lila's masterpieces.

Lila, trying her hand at "artistic" photos... j/k. She just really loves her Frozen shoes.

We were lucky enough to attend the Provo City Center Temple open house. Wow, was it beautiful! It was a little weird going in the building with it being a temple now, as I had gone in quite a few times when it was the tabernacle as a BYU student. I couldn't believe how much they fit in and all the little details they put into it. You can always tell that a lot of love is put into the building of a temple.

We got to go with Micah's niece Katy, which was a lot of fun, along with other people in my family.

A few of the cousins that were with us. I'm only in the picture so that Brighton would be in it.

It's very important to me that my kids see as many temples as we can. I can't wait until they're old enough to go in and do some work!

Jujy's Baby Shower

My sister Jessica (I call her Jujy) was having her first baby, a little boy, so the girls in my family decided to throw her an adorable baby shower. We went with a woodland animals theme, and I think it turned out really cute.

Here's the cake... my sister, Rebecca, and I made the fondant characters, then she made the rest of the cake. I think she did an amazing job and I really loved the little creatures!

These pictures are from the day that we made them.

The invitation that I made.

The food was so good! Sorry about my poor camera skills.

I made this guest sign in page and a few other things with my Cricut Explore. <3 p="">

My sister Laura and my mum brought the favors. Aren't those little boxes cute?

I wish I would've taken more pictures! Especially, since I don't actually have any of my sister. :P I'll have to update once I get some pictures with people actually in them. There was a cute diaper cake with the woodland animals that I made on it. We also played some really fun games that my sister Emma was in charge of, but again, I don't have pictures! This really needs to be fixed.

Valentine's Day

I love Valentine's Day! Honestly, though, I think I like it even more with the kids. It's just fun to get them involved in a holiday about love. :)

We tend to keep this holiday low key and just enjoy each other at home. That's what I like best, anyway, so it works out for me.

Lila helped me decorate her daddy's door, the night before, with hearts that she painted. I also put streamers in front of the kids' doors for them to wake up to the next morning.
Then, the morning of Valentine's Day we had heart shaped cinnamon rolls (kind of ;) and strawberries for breakfast. Throughout the day we played Don't Eat Pete and then the kids went on a little treasure hunt and found some light up heart rings at the end. Dinner was delicious and very simply done. I used heart shaped chocolate boxes as part of the decor and table setting.  An idea that I stole from my friend Megan. Thanks, Megan!

My beautiful little girl!

Salmon... yum!

Look at this handsome face!

Mini cheesecakes. :)

It was such a fun day. I love celebrating holidays with family!

Random Photos from January

I always have a few random pictures that I take that I'm not sure what to do with. They're not really big enough to require their own post, but I don't want them just left out, either. So, here are my random photos of the year up to this point. :)

We quite often find Lila in the weirdest sleeping positions. She really loves her giant bear, Harold. I'm sure there will be many more of these types of photos to come.

The kids were really proud of their tall tower.

Lila had been playing in her room when I came in to find that she had created this cute little person. I loved it! :)

Lila's robot that she created.

We've really been working on doing better with FHE. It's hard for us sometimes. These are some pictures from a  cute lesson that I got from Pinterest.

This video is actually from December, but I just love it so much.
Brighton really loves his Little Einsteins!
