My ward's relief society headed up to Salt Lake to visit the newly redone Church History Museum. It was beautiful and quite the experience! It was really fun to visit with the sisters in my ward and see many sacred and amazing things done by the early saints. I'm always so appreciative of all they did for us and it leaves me with a new resolve to do better. I love the church! I love church history! I love all that the early pioneers did. Thank you so much!
We started with a new video of the first vision. The room that they have it in is amazing. It makes you feel like you're there!
They have the original printing press that was used to print The Book of Mormon. I thought the one in the Grandin Press Shop was it, but apparently that one is a replica. Who knew?
Just because... ;)
I plan on taking the kids up to see the museum sometime soon. I really think they'd love it.
If you haven't gone yet, head up there. I think you'll have a great time!
I typically don't blog about school stuff or teacher appreciation week, but this year, Lila was involved, so I decided it was worth it.
Each day was a dress up theme... like pajama day, 80s day, hat day, etc. She had a great time participating!
I felt very loved this year. A parent brought me lunch every day, I got a gift basket and cute canvas of fingerprints from the class at the end of the week, I was given a daily gift from the class, and of course students brought in gifts throughout the week for me, like balloons, flowers, chocolates, and other really sweet things. :) I even got a new Easter basket.
After church one day, the kids really wanted to go on a walk. They had already been playing dress up and chose to stay in their costumes for the trip.
At one point, it was pretty windy and so they asked for my sweater. There's only one sweater and two of them, so this was our solution. It didn't last very long. They decided they would just run the rest of the time to stay warm. It worked. :)
Another trip to the aquarium. We love it there! Thanks Josh and Eliza for the pass. We've really loved having it!
There's really not much to say, so like most of my posts, it will mostly be pictures. Are you ready?
Brighton, surprisingly, likes to feel the shock from the electric eel.
We always have to get pictures on the giant frogs.
The kids always like the "underwater" room.
We usually have to drug Brighton with dramamine so he doesn't throw up in the car, because of this, he starts to feel tired and gets crabby. This was starting to happen here so he really wanted to go into the photo booth. I wasn't about to pay for photos, but he was adamant about taking pictures, so instead I did them on my phone. :)
It worked! He lasted just long enough to make it through the rest of the aquarium.
I'm sure you'll see another barrage of aquarium photos sometime in the future. :)
