Last Soccer Game

Lila had her last soccer game on the 24th. I was sad that it was over, but it was a great game. Micah and  I were both able to attend because our niece was staying with us and watched Brighton. It was one of Lila's best games. She didn't score any goals, but she worked really hard because she really wanted to score a goal for me like she had done for her daddy. She almost scored 3 separate times. They really did just go outside of the net. I, of course, didn't care, but I was proud of how aggressive she was playing, how good her attitude was, and how much fun she was having. She loved getting her medal at the end of the game, but really she was just happy to have played.

(These first photos are actually from one of her practices.)

Here are the pictures from her game.

Some of these pictures Lila took because she wanted some of her team, and she wanted to use my camera.

The Cheetahs 2015

Here she is with her coach. He was really good and really patient with her. :)

I really have loved watching her grow and get better throughout the season. I look forward to spring soccer and seeing her improve even more!

We are so proud of you Lila!!!

*This is not going to be the last post on soccer because our coach has lots of pictures of the kids that his dad took with his way better camera. Once I get those photos, I'm going to do one last post. I just can't help it! I'll also include her team pictures.

Spooky Saturday

Another Halloween activity we did for the month was Spooky Saturday at the Thanksgiving Point Museum of Ancient Life. The kids had a fun time, but if I'm honest, there wasn't really anything spooky or extra special about the museum. It said to have the kids dress up and come do some activities, but really we were some of the very few that dressed up, and the museum was exactly the same, except that there was a little pumpkin toss game and a small face painting station. At least my kids enjoyed themselves and I did get a great picture of Brighton in his costume before we left. :) It gave us something to do, but I don't know that we'll bother again. Maybe if I hear that it has improved.

I know that most of these pictures look pretty much exactly the same, but I just love how Brighton's face changes slightly in each one.

Here's a cute one where they're both smiling.

I have a ton of pictures of them at this museum already, but I still wanted to include a few from this visit.

We wondered if this had anything to do with the Spooky Saturday. We found it randomly in this kind of dark, hidden spot next to a bench… we never did find out if it was supposed to be anything.

Cheese!

Lila really did love her Cheetah face paint even though she doesn't look like she did. Ha!

Ward Party

Our Halloween season didn't really kick off this year until our ward party. It was earlier in October than most years, but I really liked it. It got Lila very excited for the rest of the month. We had a chili cook off (which, by the way, I was one of the winners!) and then there were games and activities in different rooms. It was a simple, but fun evening for the kids.

My beautiful little Minnie Mouse.

She really loved her cat face from the young women in the ward.

I didn't get a picture of Brighton in his costume because he was not very happy for the beginning of the night. He really only had fun doing the candy walk with us, the primary presidency. :)

My Children

Sometimes my kids just love to wear my shoes. :)
