Random Photos from May

Pictures from another stroll through Ashton Gardens.

Feeding the fish.

A cute, little something that Lila left for me one day after preschool. She was very proud of it. She would come and hang out in my classroom, when she was done with preschool, until we went home.

Just a picture of a beautiful double rainbow that I saw one day. Unfortunately, you can't see the other rainbow, but the one you can see was VERY bright in real life!

Lila's Frozen face painting that she got done at my school during the fun run.

Lila got some Mickey Mouse balloons from a secretary at my school. I am not very good at blowing them up, though, and I could not get the ears to inflate correctly. Lila didn't mind. She just turned it into a bear instead. :)

Some of Micah's family was visiting Utah, so we got together at Paul's house to hang out with them. Two of the brothers, Micah and David, decided to see just how many push ups they could do. It was really fun/funny to watch.

Brighton wanted to get in on the working out action. I love this video, because he did it all himself.

These are some pictures from Memorial Day at my mum's house. Brighton's pretty good about smiling for pictures now, but he doesn't always smile in the direction that we're taking the picture. He's just set on smiling. I really took a bunch of these pictures and in each and every one Brighton's face looks like the one below. Oh, he's hilarious and adorable!

Lila Graduates Preschool

Like I said before, Lila had her preschool graduation on the 20th. Oh boy! Was it the cutest thing I have ever seen? Yes! Yes, it was! I'm such a sentimental person, that this type of stuff is just up my alley.

Lila was in a preschool at my school that works with kids with special needs. She was a peer student, because this specific preschool is for kids that need help with their verbal skills, and since Lila is just like her momma and can talk your ear off, she was a perfect candidate. I'm so glad that she got to be a part of that program!

The graduation started with the kids walking out in a line all holding hands. Lila was being very shy at this point.

After the teacher introduced them, they all began to sing some of the songs about things they had learned in preschool. They were the most adorable songs ever!

Sorry, about how shaky my video is. Sometimes my hands get really shaky, so Micah recorded it on his phone, too, but that was lost with his phone in the pool. That's also why there's only a small portion of their performance recorded.

After their little performances, their amazing preschool teacher, Miss Mallory, handed out little diplomas to the kids. The kids with the graduation hats were the ones moving on to Kindergarten, the ones with the owl hats were going to do preschool another year as they were only three.

Then, the kids got to make ice cream sundaes and watch a slideshow of everything they had done throughout the year. It was enough to make a person cry!

Miss Natasha.

Miss Mallory... her amazing teacher!

Miss Ashley.

Her teacher and aides were seriously amazing. I love them! I wish they were going to be around for Brighton, but I'm sure I will love whatever teacher he ends up getting.

Great work, Lila!

Brighton is Three!

Our little man is three! How have three years already passed?! I can't believe it!

Well, I won't have his stats until July when he has his check up with his sister, and his party isn't until June, but I can show you some pictures from his actual big day.

We started off the morning with some homemade muffins. They were delicious. Can you tell that he liked them and was so happy that it was his birthday?

It was too hard picking only picture of this cute little guy, so I didn't!

Then, I went to work for half of the day, because Lila's preschool graduation was the same day... I'll blog about that next.

Anyway, we then got to spend the rest of the afternoon together. We really just hung out as a family and then went and picked up special cupcakes for Bright's birthday. They were delicious!

After eating, Brighton got to open his gifts and then we sang happy birthday while he drooled over his beautiful cupcake.

Brighton is a joy in our lives. He is entertaining, caring, stubborn, smart, clever, creative, clingy, loving, and just overall amazing.

He's very much a boy. We've never really pushed toys or ways of thinking on our kids, but Lila has turned out to be pretty girly girl and Brighton is pretty much a manly, man, although they are good at playing with each other with any toys. I have to admit, that I love it. :)

He loves action figures, animals, HIS SISTER!, eating, eating pizza, being tickled, playing hide-and-seek, Little Einsteins, bubbles, jumping, counting, singing the ABC song, being goofy, rough housing, and on and on and on. There is so much to say about Brighton. We love his little personality and how much fun he brings to our lives.

His next step in life is to be potty trained!

Happy Birthday, little guy! We love you SOOOO much!

Spring Soccer

Lila's second season of soccer was just as fun as her first!  I'll just put all of her pictures of games in one post. I'm glad she's enjoying it so much!

This season Lila's team was almost all kids from our ward. Her coach was even from our ward. It made it extra fun that Lila already knew all of the kids.

She scored more goals this season, but yet again, I was not their to witness them. I don't know how I always manage to miss the games that she scores, but it's just how it is. I'm either at the playground with Brighton or just not at the game at all.  Hopefully next season!

Like I said, Brighton would usually play on the playground during games. It kept him entertained.

We also had some pictures of her getting her medal and her whole team from the last game, but they got destroyed when Micah jumped into the pool with his phone in his pocket. Sad day. :( That is something I will post about in the future as it has not happened yet... good thing I can post date blog posts. :) Oh, well.

We love soccer season!
