A post

I haven't posted a picture in a while. I've taken pics, but I just got sick of posting them and I'm sure it wasn't interesting to see me every single week. ;) This is a different picture from what I posted earlier, but I just wanted to try and take one myself. As I said before though I still am trying to figure out a somewhat attractive pregnancy pose. I know, I know, I'm pregnant but I still feel HUGE and I have so long to go. I always told myself I wouldn't be the type to worry so much about gaining weight when pregnant, but I have discovered that it really is discouraging to watch the scale go up. At least I'm healthy. Anyway, my next appointment is on Thursday and I get to see our baby again. YAY!!!! I seriously can't wait!

**What are your opinions on prenatal classes? I haven't signed up for anything, but I'm wondering if I really should.

  2. You look so cute! I'm so excited for you and Micah. Where are you delivering again? We delivered at American Fork and took a prenatal class there. It was ok, but kind of common knowledge.

  3. I took a prenatal class at American Fork hospital also. Even though it was mostly common knowledge I was really glad I did it. They give you a lot of information about what to expect when you get to the hospital to give birth. Makes the experience not as stressful. I walked into labor and deliver already knowing what they would do first. It was a weight off my mind.

  5. Definitely do a class. Even if it doesn't really do a whole lot for you, hopefully Micah will learn from it. We took one, and it was really just a review for me, mostly, because I had done a lot of reading (the book that helped the most was "What to expect when you're expecting" I pretty much read it from cover to cover). But I did learn some new stuff and it really helped Darwin learn the things I had been reading about and it helped him feel more prepared. We also took a breastfeeding class which was free because we took the prenatal class. We just took ours at UVRMC but I know they hold the classes at other hospitals too.

You may have gotten info from your doctor, but go to this website: http://intermountainhealthcare.org/Pages/home.aspx Click on where it says "Healthcare Websites" on the top green bar, then in the middle column click on "Classes and Events" Then pick the topic of "Women and Newborn" and then you can narrow your search by picking your date and location. It was super helpful for me. Let me know if you have questions though...you can call me :)

Good luck! And you look so cute, by the way. Love prego shots :)

  6. Third trimester--yay! You look great. We didn't do any prenatal classes and I didn't regret it. I had read a ton on my own and sent Tony articles to read :) I also watched quite a few videos on babycenter.com and had Tony watch them with me--I'm sure he LOVED that haha. I called the hospital while I was in my third trimester and asked when I could come take a tour (which I think they usually do in the prenatal classes). It was great to get to see where we would be delivering and recovering. If you don't do a class, definitely call the hospital so you are familiar with your surroundings when you check in.

  7. Donna- It's funny that you should mention the laundry, because I did think of moving it, but then I thought "at least it's clean". I just needed to put it away. :) haha.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I'm delivering at AF hospital so I'll look into their information.

  8. Wally, maybe Micah should take the pic next time. ;) I'm not a fan of photos taken with a mirror. :) Just my two cents...

    Glad all is well...enough.
