Last Saturday I finally did all of the paperwork and got all of my stuff together and submitted it to become a citizen of the United States of America. It felt good to get it out of the way and have one less step to think about. Hopefully it gets accepted and I can then set a date for my interview, and then if I pass that, a date for me to officially become a citizen. I hope it doesn't take too long! It will feel good when it's all done. Yay!
Here's my passport photo that I had to submit.
(No I don't have dandruff, the white stuff is from my scanner)
Right before the lady took it she said, "They don't like toothy smiles." Well, as you all well know, I have a very toothy smile, so I felt very awkward trying to not smile with too much teeth. I think it turned out okay though. I think I look awkward, but not as bad as I imagined. I hope I don't get denied over my smile… we'll see I guess.
How long have you lived in the US? I don't know anything about the citizenship process, I would love to know more about it! Do you have to give up your Aussie citizenship?
