5 weeks

Here are a few of the photos of Lila that my friend took for me. There are a few mixed throughout that my sister took when Lila was younger. There are more on facebook if you'd like to see them. I love every single one, so it was hard to pick just a few!

One month and more...

I can't believe that my baby is 1 month old! I know that's not very old, but I keep thinking "where did the time go?" Lila has been doing amazing. I can't give you her stats today, because I don't have another dr.'s appointment until 2 months so I'm looking for ideas of how/where I could weigh her to find out? Any suggestions? There are other things that I can report on though. In the past month Lila has been born ;), held up her head while laying on her tummy for 30 seconds, smiled while sleeping, smiled while awake, stayed awake for longer than an hour, brought the most amount of joy to my life that I can imagine, caused me to lose more sleep than I can imagine, and brought our family so close together and many, many more things. I love this little girl more than I thought I could, and can only guess at what is to come next. I'm so glad she is in our lives. We're looking forward to the rest of the time we have with our angel. We love you Lila!

I figured as I was posting so close to the 4th I might as well talk about that as well. On Saturday evening we went and watched the fireworks at the field by Provo Temple. It was a lot of fun, and we got to spend some good quality time with family and friends. I LOVE fireworks so I was really excited, but nervous about how Lila would be. I am happy to report that she was GREAT. She slept a lot of the time and when she was awake she wasn't fussy, but instead she simply ate then went back to sleep. In the pictures I know she is all bundled up, but I wasn't going to take any chances. I just think it's funny that it is July and it looks like December with how I dressed her. Don't worry... she wasn't too warm. :) Anyway, on Monday we had a family barbecue where we also celebrated my birthday, which was a lot of fun also, and then watched more fireworks that evening in my parents' neighborhood. This 4th was low key but so much fun. I discovered something this year also. I realize that lately I've been craving spending time with my family, on both sides. I loved having Micah's parents here and then any chance I can have to be with my family is welcomed. Don't get me wrong friends, I love hanging out with you too, but I think I just really want to make sure I stay close with my family as we are close, and especially since having Lila I want to make sure she gets to know all of her family as well. I think the further along I get in life, the more important my family is to me. I'm excited that Micah, Lila, and I were so blessed to have such great family members on both sides.

It's my birthday!

I am now 23 years old... not a special birthday, but still great. Micah was awesome and took me to buy a dress, which I love, and sandals, which are to come. I'm really excited about the dress because I'm going to wear it on Lila's blessing day and it will fit when I lose all my weight. He also took me to dinner and Lila was so good the whole time. My husband is so great and our daughter has been nothing but a blessing. I feel so spoiled. Life just keeps getting better and better!

Happy Birthday Micah!

To my love,

Today you turned 25 years old. I'm so grateful I get to share this part of your life with you. You've already done so much to make our life great. You married me and made my life a million times better, you have a beautiful baby girl who looks just like you, you're a wonderful father, friend, and husband, you make those around you want to be better, you work hard at everything you do, you are in your last three classes at BYU, and you make me happier than anyone or anything else could. I'm so proud of you and am happy that even though I wasn't around for all of these first 25 years, I'll get to be around for the next 25. I can't imagine my life without you. Continue to be the wonderful person that you are. Your daughter and I love you so much and wish you the happiest day ever!

Love,
Louisa

New Post

I gained 35 lbs. during my pregnancy and I still obviously have some more to lose, (which by the way, I love seeing the scale go down pretty much every day) but all I can think about is going shopping. I really want to shop for shoes, but I could do that while I was pregnant, so that urge isn't as great. I also just got some really cute sandals, so that helps. What I really want though is new clothes. Just a few... especially a new dress! I can't bring myself to do that as I think I should wait until I'm at least back at my pre-pregnancy weight, but I at least hope to get one for her blessing day. We'll see. I have goals for July, but they're not too high as I don't want to set unrealistic expectations. The other thing is that I hope to lose more than just my pregnancy weight by the end of this year so I think I shouldn't spend too much money now, but then again I don't think that my structure will be that much different when I get to my goal. Well, this really is just a random post, it's just something I've been thinking about. It doesn't help that sometimes when I get bored I look online at clothes, shoes, and jewelry... *sigh*, maybe I should stop doing that. I just need to be patient and also wait until we can really afford it. :)
