I know that the day is almost over and that it may seem pointless to be writing this post now, but I've thought about it all day and I figure better late than never.
Things are a little crazy around our place right now, but as much as I wish I knew what is next or what is going to happen, every time I look or think about Lila my heart fills with joy. She brings me peace that I could never have imagined before. I'm so grateful for that little girl and I know that she means more to me than I might ever be to her. I can't believe that I was blessed to be her mother and I'm so thankful that my Father in Heaven sent her to me. Sometimes it's a scary thought, but I'm excited for the journey. As a little gift to me she took 9 steps in a row and is really starting to show interest in walking. (She hadn't done much since her few steps at 10 months.) When she falls she doesn't go immediately to crawling, but instead gets back up and takes more steps. I'm so proud of her. Anytime now... I think!
I've only been a mother for 11 short months, but I can honestly say that each and every day I gain a huge appreciation and new respect for my own wonderful mother. I can't believe the sacrifices that she made and continues to make, and I understand that I don't even know the half of it. She's been an amazing friend, teacher, confidant, cheerleader, disciplinarian, coach, and guide.
So with that, I want you to know, Mum, that I love you and want to thank you for your strength and love. I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!

1 month shy
On Saturday Lila turned 11 months. The little beauty is amazing. She is so much fun, has so much personality, and is making me fall in love with her each and every day. I can't even remember what life was like without her, but I know it wasn't as good. Anyway, Lila hasn't actually changed much since 10 months. She still has 4 teeth, she still crawls (although she has taken more steps), she still eats pretty much anything, and she can still melt your heart.
She doesn't love baby food/treats like she used to and has now experienced different kinds of Cheerios, which have become her preference. She loves pineapple, getting into mischief, the camera, Matilda, everyone (she's over stranger anxiety. Yay!), Jesus, listening to music, and of course her momma and daddy.
Even though not much has changed with her, one thing that has changed is my absolute favorite thing. She gives hugs and kisses that she means to give. You can feel her attempting to kiss you back. :) However, if she does not want to give you a kiss you can ask and encourage and she will NOT do it. She is a stubborn, independent baby. Just another thing to love about her. Oh! One last thing, she is starting to wave!
Here is our little angel:
P.S. The pants are a little short, but those clothes are 6 months and they still fit her pretty darn well.
P.S.S. Grandma (Mum), she does normally wear something over those shoulders, we were just relaxing at home. ;) hehe.

4 Years Down, On To Forever
Today is mine and Micah's wedding anniversary. It has been 4 wonderful years. There have been ups and downs, but we've experienced them together. I couldn't imagine a better person to go through this life and eternity with.
Since we've been married we have both graduated from BYU, I've started a career as a teacher, we've gained and lost weight :), we have a BEAUTIFUL daughter!, we have moved, bought a new car, upgraded furniture, built stronger testimonies together, and bettered each others lives.
I'm so grateful that Micah was patient with me in the beginning and stuck around long enough for us to move past friendship.;) Just like our wedding song says, You're "my everything" Micah! I love you.
**Here are a few little things that Micah did for me. He's so thoughtful!
First, he had flowers delivered to my work. I loved getting them!
Then, I came out to my car to find a jewelry box on my seat with this beautiful necklace inside.
Finally, we finished the evening by going to Olive Garden. Yum!
